Our Story
New Leaf Academy was founded by Dan Thomas out of a personal experience with the challenges of the traditional education system. After seeing so many bright and talented students struggling in the classroom, it became clear that a more personal, adaptive approach was needed. We started this academy to create a space where learning is not about memorisation, but about understanding, and where every student's unique way of thinking is celebrated.

A Family of Educators
While I founded this company, the real strength of New Leaf Academy comes from the close-knit, family-style team of myself, Kai, and Marcus. We've been friends since school and our relationship is like that of brothers. We speak regularly, and this deep trust allows us to openly discuss and share insights about students we all work with. We're able to give each other advice on what teaching methods are most effective and how each student works best, which means the support we provide is even more tailored and effective. This family-like dynamic gives our online school a unique, supportive atmosphere that our students benefit from every day.
